‘Music saved my life!’ After his stroke Antonio returned to making music again. A guitarist for over twenty years, and now, with a stroke affected left hand, he was forced to discover a new approach to playing an instrument.

He chose the piano, and with effort, a will, and discipline. He stumbled his way through developing a one-handed playing technique, providing him with a foundation to compose music that admirably led to the creation of boycriedwolf, The Lion Tamers (see below) and onto achieving a lifelong desire. Running his own recording studio, Studio four99.

‘When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.’ — Paulo Coehlo.

After an infectious creative night, filled with art, music and happiness. The Tamers decided to keep making music together. ‘Lost Translation’ is the result of a collaboration between three passionate musicians.

A collection of thirteen tracks from Antonio's various band projects: The Lion Tamers, boycriedwolf and Urshabloom. Along with the mix of songs mentioned in his book, Saigon Siren.

boycriedwolf—with a lowercase b—was the first music project Antonio began shortly after his stroke in 2009. Adam Roach soon joined the project and together they completed their first album, 'intervals',' (available free on this page.)

Its initial beginnings, as a duo, soon expanded into a live four-piece band, with Antonio hovering in the background, and after only a few rehearsals they found themselves competing in, ‘The Last Band Standing,’ a long running Melbourne battle of the bands competition, where they proudly emerged as winners.

distances sees Adam and Antonio reuniting as a duo again.

Urshabloom--a London based indie band--began in the late half of 1996, when Ainz Charlton (vocals, guitar) and Antonio Iannella (guitar) met and began writing songs together.

Joined later by Paul Herbert (drums) and Andy Boylet (bass). The four-piece slogged it out amongst the London pub scene.

Twenty years after they disbanded and during 2020 lockdown periods. They once again collaborated. emailing audio files to each other and piecing together recordings salvaged from tape machines to complete unfinished material.

Listen to Drowning, Wired and Collisions, the lockdown project, plus their material recorded in London, featuring on their one and only album, 'Collisions'.
